Manche erinnern sich sicher an das Spendenmotto der letzten Konzerte in der Aula: Es wurde für unsere neue Partnerschule „Bright School“ in Himo, Tansania, gesammelt. Fast 1000 Euro sind im Laufe der Monate zusammengekommen, aufgerundet wurden sie nun anlässlich des Starts der praktischen Phase an Frau Leng vom Verein „Bright School e.V.“ übergeben. Mit dem Spendenbetrag soll an der Bright School ein Sport- und Spielplatz mitfinanziert werden, zudem soll für ärmere Schüler/-innen das Schulgeld übernommen werden.
Beteiligt an der Übergabe waren Rebecca vom frisch gewählten Schülersprecher-Team, Miriam und Marla von der KantBand und Pepe und Lillian aus der 7b, eine der beiden Klassen, in denen der Kontakt nach Tansania nun auch ganz praktisch geknüpft werden soll. Noch in dieser Woche beginnt in der 7a und 7b die Herstellung von zwei Flipbooks mit Informationen rund um den Alltag an der Schule und in Neumünster, alles in englischer Sprache, versteht sich. Die Fächer Englisch bzw. Geographie nehmen das Thema im Unterricht auf, und wenn alles klappt, werden Ende November die Materialien mit der Bright School ausgetauscht.

Re. WORD OF THANKS FOR THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE MONEY TO BRIGHT SCHOOL TANZANIA.
Having received information from you as the head of IKS in our video conference that your school community has contributed 700 Euro, today we heard from Karsten Leng that you have decided to add the amount to 1,000 Euro. We thank you so much.
I would like to tell you that our pupils don’t have a place to play they stay in the class all the time until Friday when they are allowed to go outside under supervision of their class teachers. This is because the play ground is full of stones, and bushes. For the amount you promised to send we are very sure will help the school in the sense that all pupils regardless of their economic situation will have a place to play together free from injuries of stones, bushes and insects. Also we can buy balls as now we have only 3, two for boys and one for girls. The Bright school committee, teachers, and parents send to you all word of appreciation and thanks for your support. Please pass our thanks to everyone who has contributed.
